3rd (and final) yearly biodiversity survey done
September 26, 2024
During August/September we have done the final biodiversity survey of the constructed wetlands in LIFE-Goodstream. They continue to have large populations of several species of dragonflies and other species and act as “species island” in the agricultural landscape. The photo below shows a Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta) which is one of the latest dragonflies to be active as adults in the year. It can be found throughout September and normally a fair bit into October with rarer occurances even in November.
